The Lydn platter designed by New Volumes™ Creative Director Thomas Coward is an extremley visually stimulating piece.
Lydn’s exaggerated ripple is representative of both water and sound. This platter is designed to capture a stylised moment in time, its form creates a sense of movement in an otherwise static material.
Thomas states that the name comes from the Cornish word for lake, reflecting his heritage.

When asked about the inspiration behind the New Volumes™ range, Artedomus Managing Director Phil Brenton states, “Our story begins here and stems from our travels and connections across the globe, through which we identified an untapped volume of story and space”.
Phil goes on to expand, “New Volumes™ was the idea born out of this void and has become a way for us to express ourselves through people, design, materiality and stories”.
