Link House by Paul Tilse Architects establishes a distinct connection between the indoor and outdoor environments through the informed utilisation of contemporary architectural design.
The design brief was for the creation of a modern home for two design loving creatives and their family. The architects strong relationship with the client and the fact that they had an appreciation for design helped nurture creativity throughout the duration of the project.
Link House is a reflection of the design loving clients passion for detail and a true reflection of their individual flair. Their new home presents a strong rectangular façade to the street, a façade that features a distinctive gap that provides a uninhibited view through to a landscaped front entrance courtyard. The entry courtyard serves to heighten & prolong the sense of arrival to the house.
Large floor to ceiling windows frame the multiple courtyard vistas to create a distinctive link between the indoor and outdoor areas. Steel and timber elements were used throughout the project to create a defined contrast to the beautiful Japanese inspired garden space.
At its core the Link House creates a design narrative between indoor and outdoor living, whilst paying tasteful testament a family of design lovers.
