From the Designer
From The Architects
Our customer’s brief was a seventeenth century lithograph of five tiny fish having human faces swimming “Marvels Of Things Created and Miraculous Aspects Of Things Existing”. The idea was to make a home that was offbeat, quiet, rousing, marginally peculiar and profoundly individual.
We gutted the current house, leaving just the basic segments and bars. We made tremendous windows onto outside patios and expelled the vast majority of the dividers to surge the spaces with light. The issue with evacuating dividers is that there is no place to hang workmanship. This turned into the driving idea and approach behind the plan – bringing craftsmanship into the engineering.
