About
Aligned with our current exhibition, This is not Memphis, contemporary makers and thinkers unpack the philosophical meaning of craft, the impetus of the handmade, the value of working locally, and pushing back against mass production. In this panel, we will hear from who are deeply invested the in the currency of craftsmanship, quality, process, ingenuity, virtuosity and beauty in our community. Panelists will include Professor Michael Trudgeon (Director, Crowd Productions), Simone LeAmon (Hugh D.T. Williamson Curator of Contemporary Design and Architecture, NGV), Damien Wright , Laura McCusker, and Adam Markowitz.
